Our accreditation

Rooted in the APPI method

The majority of our instructors are APPI-qualified, and every one of us teaches to the APPI method's principles: the physiotherapy-led approach that sets the standard for safe, effective reformer Pilates.

Physiotherapy at its foundation

The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) was founded by physiotherapists in Melbourne and has led rehabilitation-based Pilates education for over 16 years. Its method is built on a clinical understanding of how the body actually moves, not just choreography, which is exactly why we chose it as our standard.

An intensive, in-depth training

APPI sets out to deliver “the most recognised, in depth and varied education to become a Pilates instructor.” Instructors work through tiered matwork and reformer certifications with ongoing practical assessment, developing a deep understanding of functional movement, injury prevention and client-specific programming.

Reformer & the full apparatus

Beyond matwork, APPI certifies instructors across the reformer and the full studio apparatus, reformer, Cadillac, chair and barrel, so every session can be tailored precisely to your body and your goals.

Genuine specialist knowledge

APPI training runs deep into the areas our members most often need: ante- and post-natal Pilates, rehabilitation and injury management, women's health, and performance and neurological applications.

A global standard

With a community of tens of thousands of certified instructors across more than twenty countries, an APPI qualification is recognised worldwide as a mark of safe, clinically-grounded teaching.

One shared method

Our instructors come from a range of respected backgrounds, APPI, Stott, Body Control and classical Pilates, and the majority hold full APPI qualifications. What unites the whole team is a shared commitment to the physiotherapy-led principles the APPI method is built on.

What it means for you

Because those principles run through everything we teach, every class is informed by real anatomical and rehabilitative knowledge. Whether you're recovering from injury, pregnant, navigating menopause, or simply want to move with more control and less tension, you're in genuinely expert hands.
